Emergency crews in Colonie were called for a car vs. pedestrian crash on Wold Road near Beltrone Drive at around 6:30 a.m. Friday, March 14.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and died at the scene, according to Colonie Police. The driver then fled the scene without offering aid to the victim or calling 911.
Details about the victim, including their age, sex, and hometown, were not immediately given. No suspects had been identified as of early Friday afternoon.
Wolf Road was closed for several hours while crews investigated. The roadway has since reopened.
